![]() ![]() There are class-specific setups that emphasise the interface elements most important to your role, and the settings have a ton of options to play with. One of my favorite parts about ElvUI is that it comes with an in-game setup process that'll help tailor the UI to suit your needs. But even if you decide to stick with manually updating it, what ElvUI brings to the table makes the sacrifice more than worth it. Historically, you've always had to install and update ElvUI manually, and while this isn't too much of a chore, there are a number of newer addon managers popping up that allow you to update it along with your other addons. The tradeoff, of course, is that you're also getting rid of the fantasy-themed UI altogether. ElvUI replaces every single user interface element with a sleek redesign that is a lot more modern and readable. This is one of the most popular total conversion addons for World of Warcraft. (Image credit: Blizzard, modded by Tukui) Whatever you're after, there's likely to be an addon that does the job. While you don't necessarily need to change up the look of the HUD now that it's been dragged kicking and screaming into 2022, there are still plenty of useful addons that make some of the more menial tasks much simpler-or even create on-screen prompts to help you survive the mechanics of a tough boss fight. There might not be quite the same urgency for World of Warcraft addons since the big UI overhaul (opens in new tab) that arrived with the Dragonflight pre-patch, but they still have their place for many players of Blizzard's popular MMO. The actual effort for the implementation, however, only arises subsequently for Now and Wow ideas, implementation steps need to be planned and for How ideas, further rounds of discussion and evaluation may be required.Dragonflight leveling (opens in new tab) : Get to 70 fastĭracthyr Evokers (opens in new tab) : The new race and classĭragonriding (opens in new tab) : Take to the skiesĭragon Glyphs (opens in new tab) : Upgrade your dragonridingĭragon racing (opens in new tab) : Going for goldĭragonflight professions (opens in new tab) : What's newĭragonflight Renown (opens in new tab) : Befriend the factions The duration of a How-Now-Wow session depends, of course, on the size of the group and, if applicable, on the form of collaboration (the format can also be run online, for example). In sum, a common picture emerges and an order for implementing the ideas identified. ![]() ![]() Voting on the ideas: All participants distribute points (one or more depending on the agreement) and thus determine which ideas should be prioritised. This categorisation can be accompanied by a discussion about discrepancies, but the focus should always be on a common agreement on a categorisation. Is it an innovative idea that has never been thought of before, or something that has never been tried in the organisation? Only after the explanations of the terms does the assignment of the ideas into the categories How, Now, Wow begin. Is the classification based on costs, on available staff, on skills? The same applies to “originality”. Positioning the ideas in the matrix: For this it is important to clarify what “feasibility” or “ease of implementation” mean.Grouping of ideas: To get an overview, it is useful to group similar ideas together, delete duplicates and eliminate statements that do not match the topic. It immediately follows a brainstorming, starbursting, brainwriting or premortem: The application and use of the How-Now-Wow Matrix is very simple and intuitive. The application of the How-Now-Wow Matrix Finding these kinds of ideas is particularly desirable. Wow stands for new, particularly creative, original ideas that are also easy to implement. Now stands for relatively simple, “normal”, obvious ideas that are easy to implement and are very likely to work well.Ideas that are assigned to the How sector cannot be implemented directly, but they could be implemented in the future – with more planning and knowledge. How stands for ideas that are innovative but whose realisation is not immediately obvious. ![]()
